Regular Season Game #2 vs Vancouver NE Chiefs (Home Game)

Thompson Blazers suffer a 3-0 loss to the Vancouver NE Chiefs this morning. Score was nowhere indicative of the quality of play by your Thompson Blazers. The players were relentless in their efforts and out shot the Chiefs by 15. The Chiefs had a strong backbone in net and his efforts did not go unnoticed. This game was scoreless after the first period, but in the second period the Chiefs came out hungry again and capitalized on two costly Blazer mistakes. Caleb Fantillo of the Chiefs found a way to get the puck past De Palma at the 11 minute mark of the second period followed by Connor Burk with his first of the season at 4:33 of the second. The Chiefs would eventually put in an empty net goal in the third period with the Blazers goaltender pulled with 12 seconds left on the clock. The The Blazers will be back to work this week on the ice during practice (Mon-Wed) at Memorial Arena. Blazers have a ‘Bye’ next weekend and will be hosting a Coaches and Player/Family meet and greet BBQ on Sunday afternoon. Stay tuned for more information on your Thompson Blazers.
