THOMPSON BLAZERS @ FRASER VALLEY THUNDERBIRDS SUMMARY

The Thompson Blazers were in Abbotsford and Chilliwack this past weekend for a pair of games.  Here is the weekend summary as seen on www.bcmml.net.
 
Fraser Valley Thunderbirds vs. Thompson Blazers
Game One (1): Thunderbirds 8 – Blazers 1
Game Two (2): Thunderbirds 3 – Blazers 3
 
The Thompson Blazers visited the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds in Chilliwack over the weekend where the team went home with a loss and tie.  In game one (1), Cole Perison (Kamloops) opened the scoring with a power play goal for the Blazers just over two (2) minutes into the game, assisted by Tylor Seabrooke (Kamloops) and Dante Caillier (Kamloops).  The Thunderbirds answered back 10 seconds later thanks to Andrew Strelezki (Mission), from Justin Bowerman (Mission) and Austin Wellsby (Chilliwack).  Late in the period, Cody Paivarinta (Abbotsford) scored the go ahead goal for the Thunderbirds followed by an unassisted goal by Nicholas Ponak (Abbotsford).  The Thunderbirds scored a pair of power play goals in the second thanks to Strelezki and Evan Cusmano (Abbotsford).  Ponak netted a pair and Keanu Jarvis scored for the Thunderbirds in the third.
The Thunderbirds took an early lead in game two (2) with three (3) first period goals thanks to Bowerman, Ponak and Dryden Downing (Chilliwack).  The Blazers answered back in the second to tie the game.  Nii Noi Tetteh (Revelstoke), Dexter Robinson (Kamloops) and Riley Barnes (Merritt) scored the Blazers goals.
